Submission requirements have been changed for TPS potato |
The submission requirements have been changed for national applications of seed propagated potato varieties. The submission end date for the identity material has been changed from 1 February to 15 March. |

New PCR tests for PFBV, PLPV, and tombusviruses in ornamental crops |
We are introducing new real-time RT-PCR’s to test for the presence or absence of Pelargonium flower break virus (PFBV, PFBV00), Pelargonium line pattern virus (PLPV, PLPV00) and tombusviruses in leaf material of horticultural crops. |

As of June 1, 2025, for the crops in de families Acanthaceae, Begoniaceae, Commelinaceae en Goodeniaceae, we will introduce PCR tests to replace ELISA tests. |

Confirmation test for Ralstonia solanacearum in tomato and sweet bell pepper seeds |
From 1 January 2025 Naktuinbouw Testen & Analyses is obliged to have a confirmation test for Ralstonia solanacearum performed at NIVIP. This is the laboratory of the NVWA. We do this for the samples in which we detect Ralstonia solanacearum. |

New version Price list Naktuinbouw Testing & Analyses |
We develop new tests, change existing tests or stop performing certain tests. That is why we regularly publish a new version of the Price list. This new version contains several new laboratory tests and textual adjustments. |

Succesfull TWO at Naktuinbouw in the Netherlands |
From 31 March to 3 April the UPOV Technical Working Party Ornamentals (TWO) took place in the Netherlands. This time it was up to Naktuinbouw to organize the TWO. More than 110 participants from thirty different countries were present: 31 participants attended the meeting in Roelofarendsveen, the rest joined online. |
