Change in treshold values of ToBRFV test results due to RNQP status |
From January 1, 2025, ToBRFV will be an RNQP (Regulated Non-Quarantine Pest). With the RNQP status of ToBRFV, the treshold values of the test result (performed with real-time PCR) also changes.
This procedure is valid until December 31, 2026.

For the purpose of export requirements, the number of tests on different crops will be expanded. This concerns the following crops: eggplant, celery, hemp, watermelon, cucumber and pumpkin. |

Program NAL Proficiency tests 2025 available |
NAL authorizes company laboratories to perform seed quality testing. One of the components of monitoring test quality is the proficiency test. The program for the NAL Proficiency tests in 2024 is now available. There are proficiency tests for seed analysis and for seed health. |

BBWV, PNRSV and SLRSV tested by PCR from 2025 onwards |
From 1 January 2025, we will change our virus testing methods for Broad bean wilt virus 1 and 2 (BBWV1/2), Prunus necrotic ringspot virus (PNRSV) and Strawberry latent ringspot virus (SLRSV). We will conduct these tests from now on using the PCR method. With PCR, we are well able to cover the wide variation in isolates.

CFP receives recognition as approved offshore facility for exporting to New Zealand |
The Dutch-based Clean Fruit Plants (CFP) has signed an agreement with the New Zealand Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI). This makes it possible to ship propagation material of a selection of fruit species, with reduced risk of introducing disease. The material therefore will have reduced post-entry quarantine requirements in New Zealand. |

From January 1, 2025, Naktuinbouw Laboratories nog longer provide sampling bags.
Why do you supply material in sample bags? By taking the right samples/delivery, you can prevent cross-contamination when taking the samples.

Import controls starting in 2025 |
Starting 6 January 2025 the NVWA will implement additional import measures in response to recent interceptions and an outbreak of Cff in the Netherlands. |

We will increase our fees by 6.5% on January 1, 2025. This applies to variety testing, inspection activities and laboratory tests. This fee adjustment allows Naktuinbouw to continue to operate at a cost-covering level. |
